$250.00 box of dimes: 1950 Rosie, 2000 Mexican dime

$25.00 in pennies: 8 wheats, 17 Canadian, Counter Stamped VT(Vermont), and an altered penny(the first I've seen like this) LOL

nice finds! looks like you have been doing alot of searching! i have a cent that is altered like that too. it looks like it has been on a street, or someone rubbed it with sandpaper. is it a copper cent?

Thanks cl, I have been doing a whole lot of searching. lol The altered penny is a 1982D,so I think it's a zinc penny? I think someone rubbed it with sandpaper becuase the memorial is not raised as it is in a regular penny. It's amazing what people do to money and time it must take to make some of these alterations. LOL

Congrats on the silver and wheaties. 8) Looks like the hard work is still paying off. I've seen a penny or two that way, guess someone likes the two-tone color.
