Hit a school near Dayton today and did some digging. Its been awhile since I dug so many pennies(65) and the fun part was I found my first silver coin WITH the Ace 250. Not often I get a silver coin in a tot lot. Total for today was:
13 quarters
25 dimes
1 silver Roosie
13 Nickels
65 memorial cents
1 Canadian cent
1 British 5 Pence
Totals: 119 coins totaling $7.16 and 5 Pence!!

You are right, Not very often at all do you pull a silver coin out of a tot lot...Congrats!

Almost anything can come out of the playground lots, congrats on the 100 mark and of course on the sweet silver. WTG!!!

Smiles!

Excellent diggs Jack! I'd sure like to find silver at the schools....
Maybe tomorrow......

Keep safe...

Nice stuff there.

And btw, I pulled my very first silver from the sandbox at a tot-lot (1899 Morgan) My guess is some kid pulled it out for show & tell and dropped it in the sand. But I will agree, it's kinda rare.

Way to go on the 100 count!

That 250 is a coin getting machine. 100 Ouch my back hurts thinking about it. Hope the digging was in the chips and sand. Ground has been so hard here you need a jack hammer. Rain tonight so maybe I will be back at it soon. Good work.

Was in chips mostly a couple in the dirt just under the ground, deepest being less than 1/2 inch. Easy digs!!

Nice clad you got there. Silver is always good. I agree with Bdoo, you never know what is going to pop up at a tot lot. Kids bring stuff and lose it. At night the older kids and adults hang around the tot lots...just to lose their bling for us to find. Remember too, the teachers are out there as well.

Nice day looks like you earned the 100! I am taking the weekend off....Did you find that wheat penny I lost yesterday ??? Nice find on the silver!!! :) :) :)

Well I hope he has a great day! Ok as long as you doubled checked and my 1920 wheatie is not there....I still feel I can go back and find it some day!...You know I have had a surprise wheatie once in a while after rinsing off....
