my two trademarks...the pizza holder for the rings and the manila folder whenever I get 100 coins. ;)

It seems to vary...>>>>
woodchip sometimes 30-40 coins an hour lately...used to be and still is in some not possible for me to get 100 in woodchip even after leaving woodchip and going in grass.

In grass I can always get 100 if I stay long enough...

On average only 20 coins an hour...on a good day 25-30 coins an hour, but coin spills can always change that... Had some very nice coin spills this year...none over 3 coins today. But have had one of 50 and another 33 this year...and tons smaller....so that really changes the averages. My average hunt is approximately 61 coins a hunt 3 hours...taking all of them this year. I usually pick my spots when I go for my weekly day of 100...this week I have 2 100 coin days already...I am trying to get to 10,000 within 60 more hunts now.

Today in dirt it took 3 hours and 30 minutes for the 99...and 2 minutes at home to add number 100. So today approximately 28 coins an hour.
On average I would say 20-25 coins an hour...remember I dig...well better yet here are my averages...you can see i dig a lot of pennies...sure helps the coin totals. :)

Pennies > 56 %
Nickels > 7 %
Dimes > 23 %
Quarters> 13% some decimal point differences make up the final 1 % because of dollar coins.

Thanks for asking...I like playing with the numbers.

Hello Gregg!
I must say, "You are one consistent dude!" I'm lucky to recover 50 coins with all the junk I've been digging! I hate ignoring any sound close to nickel-gold and consequently waste a lot of energy digging pull tabs. But, I am getting better or worse, depending on one's prospective! :)

I absolutely adore that ring!

Nice haul Gregg! Keep up the good work!

Thanks everyone...I need to average 275 coins a week to cut my hunts down. So its either an extra hunt a week for me...or 2 100 coin days a week. So I would rather hunt one less day because earlier this month I hunted 7 out of first 8 days and the heat was a little to much,,,ended up taking 4 days off...

We have had some heavy rain 3 times in last week and a nice drop in temps...so now is a good time...

Thanks for the responses everyone! :)

I knew there was a true use for that pizza center!! Congrats on a 100 coin day and the nice silver ring!

awesome.just think of the "been here" message it gives other coil swingers.make sweat.

Awesome hunt Gregg.

Thanks everyone...the pennies always help my totals a lot. We have been lucky with rain the last week and a half and a great break in the heat...right now the ground is very good for digging. Also I use my home made swingy thingy which I give a lot of credit. The coil is always very close to the ground or brushing it. Not a lot of wasted swings with coil to high from ground. I notice with dfx very consistent up to 6-7 inches...so swinging just 2-3 inches to high will miss a ton of coins...
