That is a cool coin. I'd love to find one, even though I have no idea where it is from.

Your clad is very sweet. A Great Day.

Congrats.

I think it is Mexican,a 100 pesoe coin? [That is not the right spelling],a pesoe is their denomination for money, less than a dollar.Cool find though.

You are correct, it is a Mexican coin. I found one here in Cali, go figure. 100 peso. Not worth much at all. The earlier ones were silver.

Found one just like it a few years back. Mine was a 1988. Was worth about 7 bucks. I think they devalued their currency (again) in 1993, which means its worth even less now. :-[ I thought it was gold at the time.... LOL!

your is brass --1990 100 peso mexican--- the guy whos on the front name is below his face. the brass aren't worth much sadly ----the older ones were silver $$---you can find it on e bay---not worth too much ---sorry ---Ivan

Congrats on the 100 peso coin, like the others said it is Mexican, and since they devalued it it makes its value pretty much nil, I dont know if they even use it any more since they went to the bimetal coins. We like finding foreign coins so it doesnt matter if it has value or not. Bobbie and both found one last summer in back to back parks on same day. So its a start on your coins of the world collection

Sorry, your 100 Peso coin was removed from circulation in 1993,it no longer has monetary value except as a novelty.

Nice finds! HH, Mike

Nice coin, I found a Mexican Independence coin that says $200...I was thinking I had something really valuable also.

I share your excitement, especially when the coin first popped out of the ground. I found one of these puppies last month thinking that it was a significant recovery. Ran the US-MX currency converter on it and found it to be worth ~$9 but come to learn from other forumites that merchants in Mexico no longer accept this currency but nonetheless, it is one of my favorite finds this year due to the color, design and high denomination. Good find!

Thanks everyone for the kind replies. I didn't think my coin was worth too much but was surprised to learn that it has no mon. value but I sure enjoyed finding something a little different. I just like to find things , always have even as a youngster. I lack the patience to det for long minutes between signals. I like quantity of hits even if it is clad. Thats why I chose the name clad badger. My coin count is around 2800. I also enjoy finding the unusual stuff, that find there way under my coil and as soon as I learn more about my camera will be posting pics. Thanks again for the help as I am new to computers and the internet.

Sorry to hear they aren't worth much. I had a couple in my foreign coin collection. Oh well, keep on diggin' you'll get something good. I hope sooner rather than later.
