OK Folks, I've been keeping busy by just hitting early 1900's houses around town. The permissions are getting easier the more I do, but the finds are nothing earth shattering.
I was able to check an item off of my bucket list, and that item was a "3 Merry Widows" condom tin from the 1920's - 30's era. I was hoping to find a hidden coin or two inside, but I got screwed. :crybaby2:The condoms were still inside. I guess this could be considered a"condom cache"?
Also dug a 1941 Merc, 1897 IH, 10 wheats, sterling silver ring, an 1800's convex "Gilt" button, clad, and asst'd junque.
You know when the highlight of your post is 100 year old condoms, the digging has been tough. :tongue3:
Thanks for l@@king,
MM

seen lots of those posted and have dug a few myself, but never seen a dug one with original contents.
The inside was a bit creepy. Maybe I should rebury it and stick a chucky cheese token in it?

I think I should send them to my younger brother. He’s got a new lady. They may come in handy. 🤪
They would probably make you an Uncle.

Nice old finds. What's the diameter on the Merry Widows tin? Looks small. :laughing7:

No wonder my wife laughed when I showed her. 🤪 I told her they were Munchkin condoms.

Interesting find!

Apparently, you can put a precise date to condoms because they all have a serial number printed near the bottom end. I can't vouch for that though. Never needed to unroll one that far.

Now that’s funny. 👍🤪 We are in the same boat it sounds like.

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!

Very cool bunch of finds, congrats!
Thank you. I’m so used to digging at properties 100 yrs older than these, and miss the CW relics too.

Is there a gun hammer in the first picture?
