today I went door knocking at a rental house and they gave me permission. I got 11 wheats, 2 silver rosies and 3 indians.
The last dig of the day was a sweet 09-36 and it was a 4 coin spill, 1867, 1895 and 1905 indians, and a 1909 wheat. Unfortunately when coppers lay against each other they cause corrosion. The 1867 is so smooth and was so corroded I had to take an SOS pad to it, just so you could see the indian....lol.
The others had to be put in peroxide, so I lost all the green patina sadly.
They look like they would have been great shape had they not laid touching each other.
So that is why I say barely got my 100th indian.....lol but it is what it is. Cool thing is my 1st indian of the season was Jan 1st when we got a warm up and it was an 1867 as well, pretty cool for my 100th to be the same year. Just wish it had been nicer shape! But I'm thrilled to hit my 100 indian goal for the year, and still plenty of time to get some more!
