After being released by the doctor for full activity, I had to get out and hunt. Friday after work I went to a field where a church once stood. After 2 1/2 hours there I had found a 1914D Barber dime, 6 IH cents, 8 wheats and a 10 cent trade token. I went back to that field Monday for another 2 hours and added 5 more IH cents, 3 wheats and a buffalo nickle. As I posted in the metal detecting forum, this field seems to HATE copper and aluminum. Most coins were too eaten up by fertilizer to date. If you want to see some abused coins, just look at these pictures.

You're finding old coins in quantity...that's good, too bad about their condition though. It's nice finding spots that seem to be not hunted or at least not hunted well. Congrats.

Awesome quanity of finds , run them throught a tumber and see if they clean up any better ! Congrats

That is amazing. I've only found 1 in 5 years. I live in a very rural area with few parks and old schools and have found no old coins at any of them. I mostly hunt the old houses out in the country. I have come to the conclusion that no one had any money in the old days or they glued it to their pockets because because they didn't drop any. It must be nice to hunt where you are.
