It was a windy day at the beach and for some strange reason, I didn't see many other beach visitors.

I didn't mind having the beach to myself, really I didn't.

My first target in the wet sand 10 minutes in was a dollar coin. Good start.

There was a decent amount of targets in the wet sand. Dry sand was pretty good too.

I found a 14k white gold wedding ring in the dry sand. For a split second, thought I might have my first platinum. NOT! That's OK

63 coins= $5.75 and a souvenir penny from Sea World. Funny, I was just there yesterday.

Thanks Smudge. This makes my 13th dollar coin this year. The change machine by the parking meters dispense dollar coins. They just seem to be finding their way into my scoop. You would think given their size they would be tougher to lose
A far as gold goes, It took me 5 years to find my first gold ring. I've been hunting for 10 years and I've only found between 20-25 pieces of gold. You'll find your gold, it can't hide from you forever.
