I found this bad boy in the cellar of an abandoned house, and almost broke my back carrying it up the stairs and probably a quarter mile to the car lol. I found cool little glass beads at the bottom of the crock that im guessing are atleast from the 1800's. Also today, I found a 10 fun munny coin, and an ancient aspirin tin. A few days ago I found an awesome WW2 victory badge in the house as well as a token, a 50 pfennig German notgeld bank note from 1921 and a bunch of other cool finds. I'll definitely be back to the place to save more cool relics and coins from the collapsing house thats been abandoned for 24 years. Thanks for looking and HH!

Nice saves, love that crock!!

Nice saves, love that crock!!

Thanks! I didn't even know crocks got that big until I found this one haha. It was in the dirt floor cellar of the house with a bunch of bottles from the 1970's.

Well, I tried to find this maker in my stoneware book, but I couldn't. So I searched the internet, and as far as I can tell it was a small time crock maker out in the mid west. Probably late 19th century or early 1900s. Great find!

Nice saves. :thumbsup:I'd check all of the doors in the house to see if the keys work in any of them. If yes, I'd pull those door locks also.:headbang:

I'll definitely try it! I've found probably 30 keys at the house so far.

The token is from John W. Cardwell's general store. Please consider posting your pics of it to tokencatalog.com or with your permission I can do it.

Hello diggyboy. Very nice finds and a great assortment too. Hope your luck continues. HH. C9

That beautiful crock brings back memories of my father making his dandelion wine in one those back in the 60s and 70s

Wow ! Nice saves- How did you get access/permission to this old place ?

Thanks! I accidentally found the house while looking for a park, and the house is in the middle of nowhere. There aren't any no trespassing signs, so I thought I mine as well save all the cool antiques in there because the place is starting to collapse. Judging from the age of my finds, I believe the place was abandoned in 1991.
