This is why you need to dig everything. A solid 40 on the vdi this is the third time I've dug gold reading between 30 and 40. I didn't believe it at first the clasp was to big to be gold turns out it's marked. My normal cut off is 45/47 ish this was solid 40/42 99.99% of the time foil or one of those plastic metal seals that read a perfect 41. If u want to find gold dig well below a nickel signal.

Congrats on the sweet gold.

Point taken. I usually ignore most below 42 because its always been trash or iron.

very nice piece! dig, dig, dig, you are so right about that mint.

Awesome find. Lord knows how many solid 40/42's I've passed up on...

Good advice, I need to dig all those low ones.

Congrats on the gold!

Gonna chirp in on this... :)

VDI's are over rated... hehh

:P

Good score.

Congratulations on the nice gold find! :occasion14:

I have found gold at the 38 mark on the AT Pro. :icon_thumleft:

Great find, GOLD, gives me a fever. I try not to think about all the low number tones I have walked past in the past.

Good thing you didn't pass that one up! :occasion14:

very nice:headbang:.... I see you used an at pro, which coil?

AMEN MBC, The older I get with my ATPro, the more this is true. Then those 40's tones are solid and without a "buzz halo", you should dig the item. I have found several gold rings now in those signals! Congrats on a nice pile of gold. Sub 8-)

None shall escape! Dig em all! Great save!

Way to go with the at pro!

Love it! Thanks for sharing. That's one heck of a gold chain. Congrats!
