hi all, i am currently looking for a deepseeking md, able to cope with heavy iron trash (small) and consider a 1236x or a 1270. anyone familiar with the differences between the two? the fields i hunt are roman (lots of mineralisation and small iron junk)and the new line of tesoro which are usually used for these fields are just not deep- seeking enough. thx, jack

I have no idea what detectors you are talking about at all or what price range your looking at.
But if you did not check it out or it is in your price range look into a Minlab Explorer 2.
It is a one of the top detectors out there so it is pricey but here is were it may help you. and it has bests all of the standard features of top detectors.
1: it uses 28 frequencies at once making it very sensitive to all kinds of metal and a very deep seeker just ask someone who owners one. and with the 28 freqs. and the microprocessor it can work well in bad soil
2: it has this iron mask feature that is suppose to see threw iron some how
3: As far as know but I'm pretty shore it comes with a DD coil stock so that will do very well in the soil your talking about. If I'm wrong on this one the only coils i see minlad has in there catalog for it is DD.
4: it has an auto track feature of some sort that adjusts for ground wile your swinging it.

Here is a link to an on line users guide for the Explorer check it out and see what people are doing with it and how it works for them.
