The battery check button does not work. What would be the problem. I have a brand new, never used, closet queen with the 10 inch elliptical coil,12 inch coil and both with covers. All controls and coils work properly. I turned the detector on for the first time in many, many years. Who can help with this problem.

I use QD Electronic cleaner from NAPA auto parts to us on my older machines That have dial type settings and that keeps the contacts in good working order. Especially good for the ones that haven't been used in a long time.
