I bought a pair of hip boots so I don't have to run away from Atlantic Ocean surf like the piping plovers and if paid for itself. On Long Island it's just to rough to go past your ankles. Or I'm just a rouge wave magnet

Wetsuit?? What!!! I'd have to take my skirt off lol. Not that hardcore yet i been waist deep in atlantic just was not fun for me it would be dry suit if anything but thanks for advise

I own waders. Good for colder weather. LL bean hip boots ( fly weight hippers) good for warmer weather easy on/off and super comfy the old hodge (or what ever they are )rubber one's cripple me after 10 minutes.

I just ordered a dry suit, hopefully does the trick. Ive never tried waders, but i like to go neck deep a lot of times, waves over my head haha. scuba some times. People think im crazy but just tryin to have a little fun. and yea the atlantic can be brutal thats for sure, best of luck to ya

I hear ya ,I'm a knee deep or less kinda guy Long Island ocean 15 feet off shore your in 4 foot breakers,you can't even go out that deep in your bathing suit. in Florida I understand you can go way out and only be waist deep. Where unsanded up here and there putting my new driveway in. I'm burning up with THE FEVER. That's what gold in the scoop does to us. Good day everyone
