While we were in Virginia on vacation I was able to do some detecting at a farmhouse of an old peanut / cotton farm. I found and returned to the lady that owns the farm, a 14 karat gold ring. I also found 4 silver dimes, 1 Rosie, 2 Mercs, and one Barber, also found an old US half cent that would date from the early to mid 1800's, the reverse is in decent shape but the obverse is pretty toasted, also a dateless toasted buffalo nickel, a 1923 Virginia dog license, and a pile of Wheat pennies. A good hunt with some nice keepers. Thanks for looking. Good luck out there. IMG_20201008_160804338.webpIMG_0001.webpIMG_0002.webpIMG_0003.webpIMG_0004.webpIMG_0005.webpIMG_0006.webp

Great finds! Nice job getting that ring back home.

Nice finds! There's a guy (maybe he's still here) who is compiling a book on early dog licenses...he'd probably be interested in your tag. You can do a search for "dog tags" and find info about him.

Well done finding and returning the gold ring and great coins and dog tag find as well!

Nicely done - returning the ring. Thank-you for sharing.
