$150.00 Minelab Excalibur 800

I bought this Minelab from a friend at work. I bought it for $150.00, and yes, he knows what it's worth but he knows I love detecting and he dosen't use it anymore. I used it in Florida on vacation this past May. It works great. I didn't find anything good though. Oh well. I think I'll use it alot for hunting on Lake Ontario and Erie. I posted about this detector months ago and thought I'd give an update on it.

LOL Sandman. No, he had a mild stroke about 4 years ago and has not been able to do a lot of things he used to... detecting included. I've purchased several guns from him and a kayak. I gave him $75.00 for my Tesoro Silver U-max and it was only used a few times.

I'm defiantly not taking advantage of him. After his stroke, he started a few new hobbies and gave up the old ones that he can no longer do. He knows exactly what his equipment is worth. I've offered fair market for everything I've bought, but he wont take it. I've even pretended to not want an item and offered to help him sell it on ebay or craigslist but he puts out a lowball price on it, so I offer him more and when he refuses, I buy it at the price he wants to sell it to me for.
