$1500 of half dollars did very well

well this week was a very good week for the half dollars. When I got home I open the first box there were 4 rolls with silver on the top box 2 had 3 and box 3 had 2. At the end of the day there were 76 keepers they were.
6-64 6-65 8-66 21-67 24-68 6-69 1941 1942 walking liberty and a 1962 B.F. GOT TO LOVE IT

That is a very nice haul there Thomas. It is always a big plus when you pull in those Walkers too!! For $1500, that is a decent ratio....kudos!

I often wonder about the odds of finding coins showing. If one silver is in a roll the odds of it showing are 10%
( 20 coins divided by two ends ). More coins in the roll raise those odds. But in a box of 50 rolls or 100 ends do these same odds hold. I guess the amount of rolls with no silvers is what messes up the odds and keeps us from figuring out how much to expect from a box just by looking at the ends. The other side of it is that every roll with a silver end is a guarentee of at least that many in the roll.

3 or 4 weeks ago i got some boxes that had over 50 walkers in them and some were on the end of the roll 4 or 5

No, they dont come like that very often. Almost never, but this was a
real lucky score. Been dreaming of one like it since, with no luck

Average box lately seems to be from 2 to 8 keepers... if your lucky.
