Relic Hunting
The ceremony was held a couple days early to accommodate schedules (since it is Saturday), but there was a decent turnout to commemorate the decisive battle out here in the sticks. Some of the other relic hunters and I brought out goodies for show and tell. Sid Chsmpion V was doing tours. Fun was had by all!

Great finds and super photos.

Awesome! I was there too with my family visiting from SC.

It is pretty cool that they are still doing this! My 4xGreat Grandpa fought there with the 108th Illinois C company. Too bad Illinois didn't have state buttons!

Yeah it was fascinating to see some of the stuff other people have dug out there. I've done fair well, but I was pretty jealous of some of the belt plates others had. Maybe one day! This is Sid and I on top of the "Hill of Death".
