today i was glad i did
the spoon has a makers mark
Joseph Dubois
New York, NY 1789-1797
In the firm of J. & T. Dubois 1795-1797.


being it is marked J. dubois it is pre 1795

Oh yeah ! Nice find - I would certainly take that spoon to a qualified Silversmith ( not a jeweler) get it put back in form - It is an heirloom find , and worth every penny to restore it ! I also would put it back into daily service .

I got SEVEN CENTS , 2 fishing sinkers , and a chunk of slag--

it all works out in the never ending battle of Minelab & ATPro--- we take turns whuppin' each other---
