There is a stretch of land in the back of our house and each year the rains slowly eat away at the bluff (which runs along the shores of Lake Michigan). Each year I lug the detector up the hill and "Billy Goat" my way along the steep slope. After making my way down the first gully I zipped right over a surface target. The signal was so clear that I thought it was definitely a shotgun head-stamp and the Garrett Carrot quickly proved me wrong by finding not one but TWO fur trade rings!! Rare stuff from when our country was just being settled. IMG_20180727_223613.webpIMG_20180727_223848.webpIMG_20180727_223916.webpIMG_20180727_223949.webp
