I think it is a so called reckoning counter or jeton.

To determin it precisely would take much better pictures.

this is NOT a golden coin
like agersea say ,i also think it is a JETON.

the golden coin that RELICDUDE07 shows ,is a (in dutch) GOUDEN RIJDER (in englisch) GOLDEN RIDER
I found a golden rijder myself .
that is a 14 guilder piece from the 18th century

to identify the jeton ,we need more information ,and a better/bigger foto (please)

i think they are right mikie you said gold, so i was looking for a gold coin. but found a brass coin alot like it.jeton... still a great find 1727
