This coin I found in some inherited coins I thought it was an amazing find

There are some combinations of die varieties that are worth more than others. Sincd you own one of these coins, it may be wise to take it to your local coin shop where a professional numismatist can take a look at it in hand and help you to figure out what kind of variety your coin is. An experienced collector can also help with this.

Thanks for sharing this Dennis.
I sure wish one of my relatives would leave me a 246 year old US Halfpenny in their will.

Awesome I love colonial coins.

Congrats! Interesting coin - at one time it was considered to be exceedingly rare only because Thomas Jefferson failed to mention it in an article he wrote about coins circulating at the time. Being overlooked by Jefferson turned out to be not linked to rarity, compared to other coins he did mention. I believe there have been some small hoards of these found in UNC.

I have found several of these in farm fields and colonial river landings in fairly toasted condition. Your example is far nicer!
