Started out with 19degrees but made it to 45 by time i quit.Wasn't sure if it was worth it till i found the real.I believe it is dated 1785,but could be 1735.Half the eight is very hard to see as coin is bent.I think it is a 2 real but not sure. Some of the letters are destroyed. This is second real i got this year (well ever for that matter) and 1st one in one piece. So what if ground was a little crispy and my fingers were numb.It was worth it!Also got a 1945 D war nickel,1882 and 1883 indian head penny,2 wheat cents, and some clad.May have a smashed token.Truck is a Lesney matchbox series no 44 refrigerator truck made in England.2 rings, mini mouse pin, belt adjuster(i think looks like a larger version of one i got at DIV but is engraved),boyscout knife, pins, and a musket ball. Also got a copper or brass coin shaped thing with pewter bottom(long gone).Very good day and last hunt of the year.

Nice find! It's definitely 1785. It's either a half real or a one real. Too small for a two real.

Nathan , I can make out some detail but not enough to ID your reale from the pics, I'll call you Sunday and stop up and take a look at it..............Rich

Looks like CAROLOUS III on the obverse (King Charles)

It is Carlos III and the diameter appears about 18 mm versus the nickel at 21.2--so it's a 1/2 real; 0.927 fine silver
Don........
PS: Most likely from Mexico City mint. If so, the assayer's initials (FM) would appear after the small 'o' over large "M' mintmark.
