I had my doubts about the obverse, but actually came out pretty good. There is still some corrosion but it is so hard I cannot get it off without taking some of the surface with it. :'( I was happy how this copper came from the ground ;D. Struck well and on a nice planchet. Pics before cleaning are in previous post. Enjoy! Hogge

I appreciate the thought Allen, and eventhough it is in awesome shape, it's just not banner material. Now if it was an M-13j.......the coin would be going to Stacks.

That is one of the most beautiful 225 year old coins ive ever seen.
IMO, I think it should hit the banner. :thumbsup:

I have 1940s pennies that are barely readable, I REALLY wish a few of our coppers would pop out like that, just an awesome looking coin! :icon_thumright:
