I had my doubts about the obverse, but actually came out pretty good. There is still some corrosion but it is so hard I cannot get it off without taking some of the surface with it. I was happy how this copper came from the ground . Struck well and on a nice planchet. Pics before cleaning are in previous post. Enjoy! Hogge

Why wasnt this awesome coin on the banner ?

I appreciate the thought Allen, and eventhough it is in awesome shape, it's just not banner material. Now if it was an M-13j.......the coin would be going to Stacks.

I would like to see more colonial copper up on top. I think it is a banner find, "common" variety or not!

That is one of the most beautiful 225 year old coins ive ever seen.
