"1789 1st President U.S.A. 1797 / George Wasington"?

Hello all,,,
This was found yesterday at a depth of about 7" to 8" down. It looks to be fairly old...
I was hoping someone could tell me what it is, token that has been holed, madallion, award, or medal???,,, any help would be greatly appreciated...
Thanks, Leon...

Leon--is your photo of both sides? Or the same side in different light? It looks like it may be the former.

There are hundreds of different Washington medals - in a quick thumb through the "Medallic Portraits of Washington" by Russell Rulau and George Fuld, I don't see one like yours, but their book generally covers the high-end medals. Washington was honored with medals from all sorts of organizations and events for all types of occasions. The appearance of yours to me suggests the Bicentenial of his Birth in 1932 or later. The hole at the top is for suspension from a ribbon, and was probably made at the time the medal was struck.
