Hello
I'm very new to this but very excited.
I have an opportunity to search an old Tobacco Plantation in Calvert County Maryland. The home on the property was built in 1790 and there is a Tobacco Barn still standing. In fact the old tobacco press is still in the barn! The property has about 5 acres....most of which has trees, someone told me a lot of the trees probally weren't there until late 1800's after a lot of the tobacco farms had stopped growing tobacco.
Anyways, any thoughts or suggestions? The property is located in Dunkirk, does anyone know how I could find out who originally owned the property?
Thanks
