1790's property and the famous saying " and on the way back to the truck " !!!

Hi everybody , I got back out to the 1790 property and decided to scout today as there is over 150 acres and this place is a early plantation home , so decided to give the xlt some time today "didnt do so well in the soil" but headed into the woods over a couple of ridges and upon reaching the top I discovered bricks and stones and steel and nails . I score a nice little buckle there and on the way back to the house scored a super old flat button and when I got to the main yard I decide to switch up detectors and broke out the AT PRO and started scanning near the parking area of the house , found a few items I need a ID on but" as I was heading to the truck" hit a nice high tone mixed with a irony grunt so open the hole up discovered a nail and thought to myself aint no way a single small nail can sound that good so I probed some more with the pinpointer and just below 8 inches and that nail out came my first LC for 2016 finally a good coin from this place 1851 ! I had filmed my adventure with my new midland hd camera but forgot to take it out of the water proof case so I didnt figure anyone would be into a silent film ,but im back out there this weekend .... so stay tuned for another video ...

The buckle dates 1575-1700

MYSTERY ITEMS The first item to me resembles a shell casing ,but nothing ive ever seen , and the second item has hooks on the back ....thanks for looking ! And Thanks to GW for the ID and dates on the other buckles and rosette !

possibly a toy cannon barrel.....Joe McDonough

Awesome finds! I really like the thing with hooks on the back looks like a 18th century saddle/ horse leather tack decoration! ( I feel like there's a more proper name for these but it's eacaping my memory)

The good ole "OTWBTTC" strikes again! LOL

Nice saves!

Historic site amazing Im jelous

very nice finds

and the second item has hooks on the back

A couple months I found a pretty similar item, though not as ornate at yours at a colonial site. I posted it here, and I think it was Bill in Virgina said he thought mine was an ornate piece from a saddle...

Great detail on that LC! Congrats

Im thinking part of a really old signal cannon ....

Here's pics of the one I found:
