1796 Carolus IIII (one REALE) & a couple Nice early US buttons

These finds are from the last two days, each day a different site.. Most of the stuff didn't clean up real well ::) so I left a lot of it out of the after cleaning pics... the copper in the dirty pic with the reale was TOAST :laughing7: a Matron head that was the only thing I could tell.. also not pictured, 2 three-ringers, a few early tombac buttons, 3 one-piece eagle A buttons, and an early rosette.. This is spanish silver #16 for the year :headbang:

Here's a group shot of the dirty finds

Re: 1796 Carolus IIII (one REALE) & a couple Nice early US buttons

Nice buttons. Left one is an Alberts GI-70 or Tices--GEN199-A-B-or BS, (have to see the backmark for that one). Flat, 1-piece, 1820's. The one on the right is Alberts GI-71 or Tices--GEN200A1. Army great coat, flat 2 piece, or thin shell front over a flat 1 piece. These were produced from 1820's- 1830's. Great finds UMR. :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:

Yes...they are the same, but different. Different dies and years. (look at the wings on both closely) You find some good stuff down there my friend!

Re: 1796 Carolus IIII (one REALE) & a couple Nice early US buttons

Great eye hogge, when I said they were the same I was only referring to the description of the first being a one-piece.. Both of these are 2-piece with the same backmark.
