Another rare find if you ask me. This Liberty Cap half cent turned out to be the find of the day. 1797! Considering the age of this coin it’s not in too bad of condition. Most half cents come out of the ground toasted.

The Liberty Cap half cent was the first half cent coin produced by the United States Mint. It was issued from 1793 until 1797.
