Hey y'all. Found a war of 1812 1st Regiment of Artillerists button yesterday in South Carolina. Its in rough shape but Albert's button book helped me put a positive ID on it. Button measures 15mm in diameter. South Carolina didnt see much action during the War of 1812 but many garrisons and batteries were set up along the coast in anticipation of a British invasion. Thanks for looking!

Found this pair of bullets nearby as well. 1800s musket round and a civil war era .69 caliber Enfield.

Thanks y'all. Sometimes the most enjoyable (and frustrating) parts of this hobby involves the identification process. When I found this button I thought it was a roached copper flat button. Soaked it in oil when I got home and scraped away a layer of crud which revealed the oval looking wheel. Flipped it a couple ways and before I knew it realized it, realized it might be a military artillery button. As I lightly cleaned a little more and a layer of briwax later, some more detail appeared which matched one of the 20+ artillery buttons in Albert's book.
