I've been working a new spot. I've found 13 rings there so far. No gold yet. Here's a couple of the highlights.
I found my first Tungsten Carbide ring a couple days ago. It's number 103 of the year. When I first pulled it out of the ground I'm like? Another crap ring! Then I noticed how heavy it felt. Super heavy.
As you can see in the picture it's 18.1 grams.
Inside the ring it says, Carefree Tungsten Carbide. So I went to Ebay to see what that meant because you can almost always find what you're looking for there.
I couldn't find the word Carefree on any jewelry.
Then I ran across this article and it mentions Carefree Tungsten Carbide. It turns out it's not the makers name but the type of Tungsten
I don't consider the ring crap anymore. =)

Also pictured is a pretty cool siver ring and my fourth Ipod. This one works! No it wasn't buried.
Hopefully the gold slump will end soon.
