This was found yesterday afternoon along with 3 buttons. I thought this old site might give up a coin and after 3 trips last yr. and the first this yr. it finally did. Was hunting with my Bro and a friend named Roz. This thing was under 2" of sod then a flat rock 2'x2' square x almost 1" thick, then another 4-5" down. It amazes me to this day how well these detectors pick up stuff under rock. We have found several things,(including coins), found beneath solid rock! Worked on cleaning this for 2 days worth of peroxide baths. Crud is coming off but process is extremely slow. Will post better pics when it is finished. Definitely an 1800. There is plenty of detail in the coin left to be shown as I can see it but is quite corroded. Second LC of the yr., but this is our oldest LC.
