This is my 4th and oldest. Normally it’s not caked. I started on the reverse with a toothpick then was able to know where to look for the date. I used toothpicks and a lot of patienceGreat find! I found my first one recently but I'm not able to see the date. Any suggestions on how to clean it?
My father who lived in the house of the previous owner, a coin collector, found an 1865 Indian head penny… how did they have that?I was able to get a date off of it. Still going to clean it up more.
Nice cleaning job. Have you applied a light coat of renaissance wax with a gentle rub? It’s stuck on like concrete
