1804 Draped Bust LC & Nice Assortment
Got out this evening for three hours after work with a friend to an older home we'd hit for about that much time Sunday.
Lots of history at this site- the British burned it in 1777, and I've been hoping to break into some Revolutionary War relics
there, but have yet to do so. Not that I'm complaining, though. Both days produced a fun assortment of early American through
late-1800's coins and relics, and I'm sure there's more to be found.
The highlight of today was an 1804 LC, which I'd pretty much crossed off the list of coins I would ever find.
Only 96,500 of them were minted, and I never seem to find the key date stuff.
I'm pleased as punch. It's been a slow year for me thus far, and this is a great way to kick off the fall hunting season.
