1806 silver half dollar

Found an 1806 siver half dollar. Took ot to coin shop they said it was a fake? what do I do next? Is it valuable? Iis it a collectable?

If it's real and in at least G-4 condition, the retail value starts at about $200 and in the mint state '60' condition one variety (of at least seven) could fetch nearly $100k. As 'kam 50' above seems to suggest, it's certainly worth getting more than one opinion.
