Thsts coin is really cool Gotta put it in a nice case Well done that is a prize

Very nice, a few hits, but sharp detail. I'd be happy to find a barely identifiable one.

Nice find! It’s called “capped bust half”.

Yes, the "hits" were from almost 200 years on that farm field...but beautiful in my book. Not sure any coin looks its best after all that time getting hit by plows lol.

That is a killer save, the condition is outstanding for being in the ground for all those years, big congratulations on the save

The saying,"I'm gunna bust a cap" takes on a whole new meaning with that beauty! Beautiful coin!

Beautiful coin. Congrats on a rare find!

Very nice find with some excellent detail remaining. Congrats.

Beautiful find. Treat it kindly; no rubbing or harsh cleaning. She's pretty just like she is . Also bless you for NOT titling your post " I"ve been Busted".

Wow what a thrill that had to be! I would be ecstatic! Surprisingly, I see more Capped Bust halfs posted that Seated halfs.

LOL Thanks! Yep, I didn't clean it with baking soda, she'll stay this way forever. I think the patina adds to a coin. When I first started detecting, I cleaned a bunch of 1/2 real and liberty cap bust dimes. I regret that now.
