That castle plate is ridiculous. LOVE IT! Huge congrats.

Very nice relics, congrats! :occasion14:

Nice handful of saves. Congrats

another great video, keep em coming. saw that you switched up from elliptical at 74 back to round in 26 and using pitch. was there a lot of trash at that site? just wondering how the pitch does in high trash. you guys were doing it right, the dirt has been moved and possible revealing more awesome finds. loved the lock piece, very cool that you had found matching piece earlier. The castle plate is very cool too, hopefully it will get IDed for you. The Artillery button is awesome as it should be. sounded like you were getting over a bad cold

Nice hunt extracting some very cool treasures, that plate is awesome, nice button and really like the lock plate, congratulations on all the saves

Thanks Guys!

Plate is an interesting piece, nice eagle button

Thanks Jon.

The plate gave me a scare, upside down it looked like an arch on a GA state seal.

Thanks dirtlooter. The site has a lot of trash, but really a lot of iron and coal. It has been challenging for a bunch of different detectors. I switched from 75kHz back to 26kHz because I wanted to make sure I was getting the silver coins. Sometimes the 75kHz passes over silver and barely makes a sound. This site still had a bunch of high conductors left and I like 26kHz for general detecting. So the pitch program is great in trash if you jack up the disc. There may be some stuff that you are missing if the disc is high. I experimented with pitch and high disc on some upcoming videos and had decent success. I don't feel like the pitch program is the way to go on high trash sites though. It is great in iron, but the higher conductive trash makes tough for pitch or 2 tone programs (unless you don't mind digging up a bunch of trash and coal pieces). I don't think that people realize how good the XP Deus is in iron, especially at frequencies 26kHz and higher. I have pulled out multiple good non ferrous targets that were fused to iron. The Deus picks up the target that is touching iron. The higher the frequency the better it picks it up, but the higher conductive targets can sound funky at the extreme high frequencies. Yes, I have been battling a cold/allergies for a few weeks. The pollen has been very bad already this year here in Savannah. One of the guys I detect with has bees and makes local honey. He gave me some to see if it could help with immunity to pollen. I've been taking everyday and I definitely feel better.

Nice plate and Eagle butto its gotta be awesome knowing how old stuff is there, My town was founded in 1817 I might have to do some road trips this year. Tommy

I knew that CB had said that the pitch program wasn't meant for high trash. I was also curious as to how you did on the highest freqs with the silver. I know that Smokey kills it but I am still curious. I have several spots that I want to try out the pitch even more but the ground has to dry out a lot and it ain't happening right now. have to be mindful of the permission. working a construction site like that, mainly have to be mindful of getting in their way. I have the 9" round HF coil and love it but have limited high end freq usage. I also use 26 as my general use freq. what freq were you using on the ring piece? I know that no matter what, you will dig some iron, it is just part of it but sometimes that is a really good thing too. ditto on the allergies, hate em. the raw honey is supposed to be good for them. Am taking it and raw apple cider vinegar. always like your enthusiasm on your finds and cool is cool, plain and simple thanks for your response.

I was using 26kHz when I found the signet ring piece. The small silver and old silver sounds much better on the higher frequencies than large silver. Its hard to get a good signal on a silver washington quarter using 74kHz with the elliptical coil and 54kHz with the round hf coil. You will still get them though.

Awesome finds BH, Congrats and thanks for sharing... "D"

I really like that plate!!!
