Yea...i couldnt believe it when it popped out! 2nd oldest coin behind my 1833 large cent. I as grinnin from ear to ear. I thought the value would be higher on a coin like that though. No stars and no mint mark. Probably a fine grade.

Just an old knob or hill in bullitt county KY that me and my cousin petrie502 have been hunting for sometime. Its great because as soon as we think weve hunted it out we find somthing else really good. Its a vacant hill that a house use to be on in e early 1800's.
 

Great find ! A rather uncommon find too - I don't remember those being posted here very often - I'd be really happy with that .

Nice find! The "No Stars" obverse is a distinctive type coin and the only made it for two years, the 1837 being the first year of issue.

Thanks man....its only bout 15 min from southwestern jefferson county (where I live) not to bad.
