1840 house gives up pocket watch and buckle

Here are my two best finds from today's hunt at the 1840 house, along with photo of house. Any thoughts on what kind of buckle and era - first one I found that is not square or rectangle. Thanks to Earthworks for the photo too. For size comparison, the pocket watch is a smaller one, about the size of a silver dollar, so the buckle is a little bigger than that.
