This house was built in 1846 and was built near one of the earliest thoroughfares in Western NC. I got permission from the owners whom apparently have mutual friends of mine, Awesome! I brought along my little elf helper and a buddy. They found some clad and a few older pennies. I found a green Quarter two pennies and my first ever silver Mercury 1945 D. So excited I finally found a silver coin. To anybody else it has an approximate value of $1.50. To me, it's priceless!

Luv finding silver :)

Congrats on your first silver coin. Now tell your wife, if you're married, that you're going to be busy on weekends for the next 30 years :-) It's an addicting hobby and the more your find, the more time you spend detecting and vice versa.

Congrats on your first of many.

Congrats on your first silver coin. A Mercury dime is a great one to find. I hope many more follow.

You'll always remember that 1st silver coin.......the details will stay vivid in the memory. Congratulations on your 1st and there will be many more to come.......hang on, the bug just bit you (again)..............:tongue3:

Firsts, are very special!
Congrats!

Literally, for the rest of your LIFE,you will remember that first silver coin and where you found it. You won't even have to try to recall it,it'll be there. That's a really good sign that you have the disease, for which there is NO cure!
Congrats on a fine first, surely there are many more to come...

Yep,, time for a cardboard coin folder. Put that Mercury Dime in it. Put the date and location of where you dug it up on the folder.
Mark it in big Red Letters; "FIRST SILVER"
Congratulations
