Hello all, I found this bottle under a house that was built in 1845, the bottle is in mint condition, just a lot of dust,,,,,there are no seams, the top is solid glass there is a portion of the bottle that sticks out and it has an anchor on it, the date stamp is 1853 and has " New Beauford" above the anchor....any ideas on this bottle?

Is the stopper ground glass or does it have a plastic bottom?
Wine decanter

does your bottle say whaling co. under the anchor?

It's a really awesome looking old bottle, I hope someone can ID it for you.

oh it is no repo. I have the same bottle missing the topper been looking for about a year for one to fit. I am sure it is a whiskey decanter 1880-1910. at least I know what the top looks like now!
