Yesterday I was back to the cellar hole I found the shield nickle with rays earlier this fall. I noticed that someone had been there while I was gone, they left their trash against the trees and a few of their holes not filled in. Some people just won't be happy until they ruin it for everyone (including themselves) I found a broken spoon, broken flat button, and a, what I believe is a rosette?

A few days before that Oldjerseygirl and I started a permission of two old houses that are no longer standing. We had to wait for Jersey deer hunting to end before we could start. I found a BIG spoon there and a buckle, I also got poison ivy there. Things were pretty froze there, we tried again this morning but it was a solid block of ice. I think we will find some good stuff there when it thaws. We then went down to the area where I found my Spanish silver, her and her husband had spotted a chimney hiding just off the road. My first target was this 1870 Indian Head Cent, here is a link to the NGC coin explorer for that date.

I'm searching/prospecting for another spot hiding in the woods, I found a long gone railroad bed that supposed to have a WWI munitions depot on it somewhere. so far just railroad spikes. I have to keep hiking and looking.

Congrats on 1870 Indian! :hello2:Very nice! :hello2: Also enjoy your photos & descriptions.

Your several woodsy detecting spots will each yield more in the future! Glad some of them are easier to dig. I'd spend a lot of time near that abandoned railroad track bed. Poison ivy? Perhaps you already know that the dead-looking winter poison ivy vines growing up tree trunks can give ya a nasty case of poison ivy even when there's no leaves! Seems the nasty juices get concentrated in the winter vines. Years ago, our family got worst case ever that way. Andi

Congrats on the IH and nice finds!

Maybe the idiot will fall in one of their own holes and cut them self on the trash that they left! That would be justice!

Congrats on the finds and just being able to get out. We had a great weekend here in the sunny South but not so much on the finds.
