Cool semi-key date, but no, that's gonna get a no grade if you send it in, because it's corroded. Tough coin & nice find though!
 

Agreed, not worth the money in that condition. Even without the corrosion, it wouldn't grade better than VG.
 

Semi-key date yes... However, in that condition, dont waste your money.
 

I wouldn't go for it. It would come back no higher than a G-4 or 5. I also have a '72, that I traded for. It wasn't too bad of a deal, though I don't remember what I traded for it.
 

Thanks guys. It seems sold values of the 72 are all over the place. From $30 to $200+. I even saw a claimed vg with deep scratches sell for $200. And that's why I asked the guys who know better than me lol

Here it is after cleaning with peroxide and putting a light coating of olive oil on with a qtip

grade it and you will get "authentic detail - environmental damage" and you pay more for the grading/shipping than the coin is worth. $25 on ebay is about what you will get would be my guess.
