1872 VICTORIA and more

Well my father's yard never fails me. No matter how much I hunt it, it just seems to keep on giving. Within 15 minutes of me being there I got a very strong hit under a pine tree, dug only 2 or 3 inches and got this amazing 1872 victoria penny. I don't know why it would be in pa but I'm definitely not complaining. The only thing I can think of is possibly some traveler dropped it many years ago since his house was built by the d&h RR at the same time they layed the tracks. Also I found another wheatie (somewhere around 30 from his yard just this year), a key possibly for a clock or watch, and a small coin shaped object. It's smaller then a dime but must have had some writing on it at some point. I thought button at first but there are no holes or stud on it. Maybe some suggestions on that one? Another exciting day digging around hopefully next week will give me something else interesting to bring home also!
