Re: Someone else's bad day!

Most likely he has blown up in a fire

Re: Someone else's bad day!

n,o this will happen if it was loaded in the wrong caliber size(larger) or it had a worn out bore and the "head"space was comprimised to much back pressure like a car back fire well worse

Re: Someone else's bad day!

i would say into the fire too :-\ as a dumb kid i had a bee bee gun and while poor old mom was not a home i would wedge shot gun shells into the dresser doors and get on top of bunk bed a pick them off. bam. the shells were split and the shots were in there all whole but a few stuck in the wood. i know that was crazy now that i think about it. but real stupid thing to do ::)

Re: Someone else's bad day!

youll shoot your eye out kid ::)

this was my initial guess, because rounds in a fire are usually a lot less recognizable than this

You do not have passport :-\? Without the passport in Russia it is very bad.... :-[ Receive him more likely. How you live without him ????

I'm totally in for Russian vacation...no passport either, but I'll get one. Think they'll me let sneak out a T-34 in my shorts? What's the cost of a flight to Moscow anyways? No luggage...just detectors :-) Rent a "car" and slum around the back woods of Moscow...I'm so in! August better for me, but what's the weather like there in Aug? Dekalb got an international airport now? :-) Probably put you on a 2-seater, wind up the rubber band and send you to O'Hare. I'm serious too...always wanted to visit Russia anyways...but this is way more fun! So put down those scissors and start saving some dough.

Nahabit: Don't understand "How you live with him", can you try to explain it? Your english is really pretty good! But sometimes it's difficult to understand. We couldn't even get on the plane to Russia without a passport, BUT we can travel to Canada and Mexico without one. So most Americans don't have passports.

I'm told by the end of the year we will need a passport for Canada and Mexico now.
it's a good time to start working on your passport.

I think Nahabit meant, how can you like without a passport.

DiamondJ,

7mm, Hmm? Maybe cheap Chineese bullets don't always work so well !!! My guess would be " wrong bullet in wrong gun" or right bullet wrong gun, something like that. Maybe alcohol involved, thats always a good explanation?

Here Russia is nice this time of year.

Re: Someone else's bad day!

WTG..... I alway enjoy finding shell casings.

??? how about the possibility that over time as the casing sat there: It got flattend, hammered, run over, hit by a lawnmower, expanded by ice, years of freezing then thawing ground etc........ ??? just another thought......

I've pulled some strange looking casings out of the ground as well..........but the strangest or I should say the scariest I've found: 3 live rounds from 1950's those bad boys had potentially been in the ground for about 40+ years........hit one of those wrong with your digging tool and talk about a bad day of detecting........headstamp info: (F.M.E 7.62 58)

Re: Someone else's bad day!

:-\ Just a flash back of my military days I guess. I was digging my fox hole and found a complete magazine with live rounds....from WW II.............They cleared the whole area for about two blocks and called in the ammo specialist to remove them......They boxed them in some sort of special box and removed them to somewhere......I would guess time might make them more volital who really knows ..........
