Not a bad day in the woods today. My first decent find was a toasted IHC that was a good 7 inches down. Couldn't read the date, so I cleaned it up with hydrogen peroxide when I got home. It ended up being from 1882 and not in bad condition at all.
Second find was a very tiny brass shoe buckle tongue and chape. This boy is really small! Only measures 1 by 1 1/2 inches. I took a picture of another tongue and chape I found a few weeks back to show how small it is.
Last find was dug up a couple of days ago, but I forgot all about it. It's a broken watch key. Cleaned it with naval jelly to reveal a little gold gilt still on it. Not sure how old, but it must be pre-1900.
