Watercolor,Skinny Puppy and I went out Sunday, Temps about 45, and did a house that I got permission to do late Saturday afternoon.
Virgin area. Hugh back yard in an old neighborhood of Chicago, Norwood Park.
The owner was moving out in a couple of weeks so he said go and have fun. I said we would be back on Sunday.
Right off the bat Skinny Puppy scored with a silver dime. He may post it.
I then scored with a 1950 Dog Tag.
Watercolor then scored with a couple silver in 1 hole. He may post it..
I then scored with my first ever SHIELD NICKEL badly corroded. All we could make out was 188 .
I later scored a 1964 Quarter.
After taking a break and eating lunch we still could not make out the last number.
Got home and tried to clean it but still couldn't see it.
After awhile I said, the heck with it I'll wire brush it,..A BIG NO NO but who cares it's already badly corroded..
I still couldn't see the number.
In the morning I was looking at it with the lope and could see the 2 in the sunlight.
Oh how I was wishing it would have been a 0 or a 1
So close to a key date coin...AGAIN>>>>>
It was a great day and great company too boot.
Thanks Pat and Mark I had a blast...Again...
