Just a little history here; June 1889 George v. smith along the tioga river after a flood uncovered flint arrows, stone hammers, pots, utensels, charred corn and skeleton remains of Indians...this was in the 1889 oct abstract of the Wellsboro Agitator-------a couple of others---obituary of a local resident in 1930"s where as a young man around 1870 while at the battle of little big horn found a curved knife believed to be from one of the soldiers..... and had seen sitting bull while at the indians reservation in Wyoming.......also red about a tommahak 1885 here, the man said he traded for it 50 years earlier...... I have not looked for any aritfacts here but my interest is peaked and when spring gets here I will be on the hunt!!!The iraquoi used to summer here and grow crops up until the 1850s....thanks for reading--will post finds this summer
