I have been out the last few weeks to this area that has never and I mean never hunted with a machine before, the owner of the farm, his father is still around and thus it was his grandfather who bought the farm in 1908, and thus this is why they know this fact. Anyway today I went out again and found these items, even some live 303 bullets as well.

This area was used by The British soldier as a tented camp during The Boer War, their job was to protect the railway line and a road pass to The Free State. There were many 303 doppies, parts of a smoking pipe, nails, Martini Henry bullet head, old horse shoe, wire, military buttons with the British castle crest on them, part of the base plate from a windmill, odd looking pieces of metal.

Will post some more pic's for you to enjoy as well.

And some more close up of the items as well, persons boot metal section, I even forund a rubber part from a boot, Bully Beef tin cans, various parts from their tents, eyes from their ground sheet, to be able to pick up even the smallest item, with the wind blowing, using ear phones, a small spade, my Mine Lab pin points the item very close, I am very happy with the way that it operates.

Look I even found a Mauser pistol doppie, these cartridges from a Mauser pistol are very very scarce.

Below the Mauser doppie, there is a round button, this button was used by The British to close their main coat up, they are also very scarce to find.

And here I show you some coal, this coal is of a very low grade, however in the area that I found it today, this place was the first place here in South Africa where coal was first mined, before they found coal in Johannesburg, this is what it looks like.

Welcome back but we can't see your pictures :icon_scratch:

That is to cool. I could only see one picture. What a world we live in, you go out hunting in Africa & find things from the Boer war and I sit here in my living room in Louisville Kentucky by the fire looking at them (hopefully). Good luck. I would like to see some pictures of your landscape.
