As I stated in my Introduction, I got interested in oddities since a child due to my grandfather being a sort of treasure hunter!
He has passed away some yrs. ago and going through all the things he left behind for us, I found some pretty cool coins.
Again, I've googled, but I want opinion(s) from the likes of those who DO this. Their lifes passion!
**Sorry if I repost an item already talked about. I'm still navigating the board.

Hard to tell... the value is nothing more than melt do to its condition.
No offense... tis is what tis is.

I kinda figure that none of said coins are worth much value, but... Seems the ? Mark was burnt some how.
I'm more less into finding the coin that has the double stamp(s) misprint, ect.
I'm just wanting to assure any of them that I do have arent something special is all. A crap ton of 1910, teens and 20s wheatbacks, 43 tin pennies ect.. so.

Two lessons:
1. Never hole a coin
2. But if you must, never hole a coin through the date
Don in SoCal
Was the way I found it my friend, but ty.

Yup, just damage I'm afraid, not a mint error.

Some of the early Lincoln cents might have some value depending on year, mint mark, and condition. In 1943, the cents were steel with a thin zinc plating. Not particularly valuable, but, there again condition and mint marks will determine value with the S mint mark being the most valuable. It's still only a $5 coin in average uncirculated condition. In higher grades (MS65 and higher) it can command much higher money, but, circulated versions are $1 or less.

..And at $1 a piece, having 3/4 hundred of them is a decent little come up, but..I'm in no hurry to get rid of any. I think they are cool. I also want to look into them and see if there are any of those defects you mentioned.
Ill keep updating as I go.
