19" heavy wooden Native American (First Peoples) statue

Picked this up at a garage sale a couple weeks back. Have done a little research but haven't come up with much. A beautiful piece, and the price was right so I couldn't resist. As the title states, it stands 19" is heavy (weighing a little over 5.5lbs). Has some minor splitting in places, and an interesting repair jop to the foot. What do ya think?
